Read the QR code in any image

Drop a screenshot, photo or file. Every code in it is found and circled, even the tiny ones. The image is read on your device and never uploaded.

Drop an image here or paste a screenshot (Ctrl+V / ⌘V)

Example: three codes found, one of them tiny.

Even the tiny ones

A code in the corner of a poster or a slide is often too small for a phone camera. The reader looks at the image in close-up tiles as well, so a code of 40 pixels still reads, and a picture with several codes gives you all of them.

On a web page or in a PDF?

The Chrome extension reads every code on the page you are looking at in one click: images further down, PDFs open in Chrome, a paused video. Nothing to save first.

Questions

How do I read a QR code from an image on my computer?

Drop the image on this page, paste a screenshot with Ctrl+V (⌘V on a Mac), or choose the file. Every code in it is found and listed with a Copy button. Links open only when you press Open.

Can it read a QR code from a screenshot?

Yes. Take the screenshot, then paste it here. It also reads several codes in one picture, small codes, and common barcodes such as EAN-13, Data Matrix and Aztec.

Is my image uploaded anywhere?

No. The image is read inside your browser, on your device. It is not sent to a server.

Why does an image link sometimes not work?

Some sites do not let other pages read their images. Save the image and drop it here, or use the Chrome extension, which can read the images on the page you are looking at.

Can I scan a QR code on my phone with this page?

Yes, choose a screenshot or photo from your gallery. The Chrome extension works on a computer only.
